Open Field // A giveback program from ASG

Win the race you can't afford to lose.

Open Field puts ASG's full campaign machine into the hands of campaigns that could never buy it. Field, data, and AI. The same infrastructure our funded clients run. Given, not sold.

// Open Field seats run on SYS01 — the same Field, Data, and AI infrastructure our paying clients use. Built in house. No invoice.

01 / The gap

The campaigns that need infrastructure most can least afford it.

A funded campaign buys clean data, a field plan, and a live view of the race. An underfunded one runs on a spreadsheet, a gut read, and hope. They find out what they missed when the doors come back wrong. The work is the same on both sides of the aisle. So is the cost of going without it.

01

The voter file goes unaudited. Every decision inherits errors nobody caught. Until election day, when there's no time left to fix them.

02

Turf gets assigned on feel. "This neighborhood looks good" is not a targeting strategy, and most small races never build one.

03

Volunteers sign up and vanish. The gap between interest and a filled shift is where small field programs quietly bleed out.

04

Nobody can answer the win number question. By GOTV week, "are we going to make it?" is a guess. That's an infrastructure problem, not a staffing one.

02 / What a seat includes

A full seat on the Portal.

Not a stripped free tier. A sponsored Open Field seat is the real platform. Same tools. Same data engine. The full operating stack, running your race from onboarding through election night.

// 01

Win Number Calculator

Precinct level math: turnout, persuasion, and universe size. The single number every meeting orbits.

// 02

Voter File Hygiene Audit

Duplicate detection, dead voter purge, address normalization. Cleaner field returns the day you onboard.

// 03

Walk List & Phone Bank

A mobile first canvasser app. One door at a time, full voter card, outcomes logged live to the file.

// 04

Volunteer Funnel Dashboard

Signup to first shift to repeat. Closes the leak that wastes most of the volunteers you recruit.

// 05

Live Operations View

Who's in the field, doors completed, where the program stands against the win number. Right now, not last week.

// 06

Always On Voice

What voters ask and what staff need, answered around the clock.

A sponsored seat. No cost to qualifying races.

03 / Who qualifies

Built for the down ballot.

Open Field is based on need and bipartisan. Open to any campaign that meets the bar, on either side of the aisle. Selection is by a short application against a published rubric, in cohorts each cycle.

Office level
Local and down ballot: municipal, school board, county, judicial, or state legislature. Not federal or statewide mega races.
Budget
Total campaign budget below a set threshold. The races that can't absorb market rate infrastructure.
Staffing
No full time paid campaign staff, or a single paid organizer carrying the whole operation.
Priority
First time candidates, community organizers, and campaigns from places long priced out of professional tools.
Party
Any. We work the operational layer where ideology doesn't change the work. We never publicly endorse. The voters decide.

04 / How it's funded

Funded by the work, not by donations.

Open Field is paid for by ASG's commercial engagements. The firm's own giveback. Three mechanisms keep the seats flowing.

// 01 Core

Cross subsidy

Every block of paying engagements underwrites a sponsored seat. The program grows in lockstep with the firm. One for one.

// 02 Partners

Sponsorship

Aligned organizations and individual sponsors fund named seats or full cohorts for a cycle.

// 03 Clients

Giveback line item

Paying clients can elect to fund a seat alongside their own engagement, doubling the field they put back into the work.

// What Open Field is not

Not a nonprofit. Not a 501(c)(3). Not a PAC. It's a giveback program inside a for profit firm, funded by our commercial work and offered to qualifying campaigns at no cost. Contributions aren't tax-deductible, and we never route money to candidates. We give infrastructure, not dollars, and we give it across the aisle.

05 / From application to running

Four steps. No runaround.

// 01

Apply

A short note about your race: office, budget, timeline, and what you're missing. Ten minutes.

// 02

Eligibility review

We check the rubric and the cohort. You hear back either way, with a reason if it's a no.

// 03

Onboard & build

Voter file audited, walk lists live, dashboards stood up. You're running on the Portal in days.

// 04

Run the race

Weekly data, a live ops view, and GOTV command through election night. We run it with you, start to finish.

The bill shouldn't be the reason a good campaign goes without.
